Difference Between Chisels

What are the differences between Western chisels and Japanese style chisel? Which style do most people think is better? |
| A. |
I do prefer the western chisel because I feel it is easy to sharpen and maintain
the bevel. I do love the Japanese chisel because they can be honed to a razor’s
edge. The Japanese chisel is a laminated chisel and normally have a relief in
the back of the blade that must be maintained as the chisel wears.
Again, this is all personal preference.
